Philadelphia Flyers
Philadelphia Flyers leading goal scorer Jeff Carter will miss three to four weeks with a broken bone in his left foot.
Carter suffered the injury off a shot from Atlanta's Clarke MacArthur in the first period of Sunday night's 3-1 Thrashers' win.
Ottawa Senators
The red-hot Montreal Canadiens turned out to be the perfect tonic for the slumping Ottawa Senators.
Peter Regin and Erik Karlsson scored and Brian Elliot made 29 saves as the Senators ended a five-game losing streak with a 2-0 victory over the Canadiens on Monday night.
Calgary Flames
A day after being stretchered off the ice in a scary incident, Flames centre Daymond Langkow flew back to Calgary on Monday.
The 33-year-old spent Sunday night in a St. Paul hospital following the Flames' 4-3 loss to the Minnesota Wild, undergoing a battery of tests after taking a shot off the back of his neck.
Detroit Red Wings
For the Detroit Red Wings and Pittsburgh Penguins to play again this season, it'll have to be in a third straight Stanley Cup final between the teams.
"Hopefully that will happen," Red Wings star Henrik Zetterberg said with a grin after Detroit's 3-1 victory against Pittsburgh on Monday night. With the Red Wings playing lately more like, well, the Red Wings, another Detroit-Pittsburgh championship series doesn't seem so far-fetched.
Los Angeles Kings
Although Drew Doughty wasn't really supposed to shoot the puck during that overtime power play, even the Los Angeles Kings' coaches were grateful their rising star defenceman decided to wrap up two important playoff points with one fierce slap shot.
Doughty scored 3:40 into overtime, and the Kings recovered from T.J. Galiardi's dramatic tying goal for a 4-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Monday night.
