Team USA went 7-for-8 on the power play on their way to a 13-0 dismantling of an inferior Russian squad in Group B play at UBC Thunderbird Arena Tuesday night.

Three different Americans scored in their Olympic debuts as Team USA opened up Group A action of the men’s tournament with a convincing 3-1 win over Switzerland in front of a sell out crowd at Canada Hockey Place Tuesday.
As expected, the Americans got off to a slow start in their tournament-opener as the Swiss clamped down the neutral zone and eliminated the United States’ ability to get any offense going.

Team Canada stepped back on to the biggest stage in international hockey and delivered a crowd-pleasing performance, formally kicking off its quest to erase the memory of Turin with a comfortable 8-0 victory over Norway on Tuesday.
